What You’ll Learn

This program offers comprehensive training on AWS fundamentals through four concentrated modules:

1: Introduction to AWS & AWS Compute

  • Core AWS concepts and architecture
  • EC2 instances and compute options
  • Hands-on lab experience provisioning virtual machines

2: AWS Networking & Storage

  • VPC configuration and management
  • S3, EBS, and storage solutions
  • Setting up secure network architectures

3: AWS Databases, Monitoring, Load Balancing & Scaling

  • RDS, DynamoDB, and database options
  • CloudWatch monitoring implementation
  • Auto-scaling and elastic load balancing

4: Enterprise Networking, User Management & Capstone

  • IAM and security best practices
  • Direct Connect and advanced networking
  • Final capstone project applying all concepts

After you learn via slides and discussion, you’ll work directly in the AWS environment throughout each session, building solutions that address real business requirements. Combining asynchronous learning materials and live Zoom sessions creates the perfect balance of flexibility and interactive instruction.

John Krull is the Founder and President of Tech Reformers, LLC. Tech Reformers is a cloud service provider focused on K-12 Digital Transformation. Areas of practice include Infrastructure, Cloud Adoption, Managed Services for Cybersecurity, Student Safety, Disaster Recovery, and Content Services. John is a former CIO at Seattle Public Schools and former CTO at Oakland Unified School District. Prior to 15 years leading school system technology, John worked at Microsoft and various startups implementing web and video technologies. John began his long career as a teacher.
